As part of our 30th Anniversary Celebrations UNILINC is hosting a free seminar on library services in the indigenous context.
The aim is to increase awareness of indigenous cultural perspectives and to explore how libraries can most effectively support teaching, learning and research. Areas to be covered include cultural protocols, library training, library service initiatives and digitisation projects.
The Seminar seeks to help Close the Gap when it comes to libraries and other information service delivery
Speakers include: Rhonda Dixon-Grovenor; Rod Stroud & Alana Garwood-Huong - AIATSIS; Melissa Jackson - State Library of New South Wales; Helen Cooke - University of Queensland; Prof Martin Nakata - Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning (UTS); Dr. Alex Byrne & Jemima McDonald - UTS; Dr. Kaye Price - +University of Canberra; Gordon Syron, artist, educator & political activist.
